I have over 15 years of combined experience providing leadership, consulting, and training services to non-profit organizations, healthcare systems, start-ups, private practitioners, graduate students, and associates seeking licensure.  My work experience ranges from director level positions at several non-profit healthcare organizations, to clinical supervisor in community mental health, to primary care provider, to public sector leadership on a state policy council.

Training: I am active as a clinical trainer, currently focusing on suicide prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (3rd Wave CBT) and addressing burnout in healthcare professionals. I mentor and supervise graduate students, most recently from the University of Washington, Arizona State University, Seattle Pacific University, and Antioch University Seattle.

Media: I have been featured on Q13 Fox news, Facebook Live, and podcasts produced by Swedish Medical Center. I also have been published recently in the state clinical society’s journal.

Past projects:   I have recent experience implementing the integrated Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model within a large medical group and continue to support their efforts through consultation.  I also recently worked with a venture-backed start-up to pilot a technology solution to connect primary care patients to community based behavioral health providers. I also consulted with the health technology sector on a novel approach to using virtual reality and biofeedback in the treatment of anxiety and depression.

Current projects: I am leading a pilot within a large national health system to provide a virtual counseling and referral service for their caregivers, which has led to me gaining significant expertise in the best practices of telebehavioral health care. As part of this project I am evaluating computerized cognitive behavioral therapy (C-CBT) platforms and integrating them into the service delivery model. I also recently launched a startup, Gemini Clinical Associates, devoted to expanding access to skilled mental health professionals by leveraging technology with a cutting edge clinical approach.

Advocacy: I am active with our state clinical society and national advocacy organizations. I have a strong professional network, including local and national leaders in the mental health community. I am an avid supporter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - recently leading teams to raise significant contributions for these worthy causes.
